In last year's "Bass Pro Shops / NRA Nigh Race" at Bristol Motor Speedway, we saw Kevin Harvick take his 9th checkered flag of the 2020 season. That checkered flag, being his last win up to date.
Yes, the most dominate driver of the 2020 season comes around a complete year without a win. Harvick could pull off the win here this weekend, but does he?
Drivers to watch for the win:
- Kyle Busch [No. 18 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - A 19-time winner across NASCAR's National Series at Bristol, Kyle Busch has a huge advantage over many other drivers; knowing how to win at this track. Does Kyle Busch make it 20 wins at Bristol on Saturday?
- Brad Keselowski [No. 2 Ford / Team Penske] - Keselowski's 2021 Season has been on the low-key side, with a mere victory at Talladega this spring. How will Keselowski fair at Bristol this time around?
- Kurt Busch [No. 1 Chevrolet / Chip Ganassi Racing] - Kurt Busch, like his brother Kyle, has had success at Bristol. Does Kurt move on to the Round of 12 after Bristol?
- Kevin Harvick [No. 4 Ford / Stewart-Haas Racing] - Just like many other tracks the NASCAR Cup Series have made their rounds to this season, Harvick has had past success at Bristol, but the year is 2021. Does Harvick overcome a 35 race winless streak this weekend?
- Joey Logano [No. 22 Ford / Team Penske] - The most recent winner at Bristol Motor Speedway, but that was the dirt race from this spring. He has a single victory on the regular surface, but that was back in 2015.
A few others to watch out for at Bristol:
- Kyle Larson [No. 5 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports]
- Chase Elliott [No. 9 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports]
- Tyler Reddick [No. 8 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
- Denny Hamlin [No. 11 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing]
The Bristol night race will be on Sunday, September 18th. Live coverage of the race will start at 7:30 PM EST on NBCSN.
