Martins Motorsports to become Alpha Prime Racing in 2022, Rajah Caruth to make Xfinity Series debut with team

Alpha Prime Racing

It was announced earlier today (8/30/21) that NASCAR Xfinity Series team Martins Motorsports, who fields the No. 44 Camaro on a week to week basis has joined forces with both Cesar Bacarella and Rajah Caruth to rebrand the team as “Alpha Prime Racing” come the beginning of the 2022 season.

Alpha Prime Racing will be owned by Tommy Joe Martins as well as Cesar Bacarella. Martins who currently drives for Martins Motorsports will continue to drive the No. 44 car after the team name and ownership turns over, but the seat-time will also be shared with Rajah Caruth who will make his debut with the team.

19 year old, Rajah Caruth, currently competes full time in the ARCA Menards Series East driving the No. 6 Chevrolet SS for Rev Racing. Caruth also competed for the team part time in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, scoring 2 wins, at Hickory Motor Speedway and Tri-County Motor Speedway earlier this year. The success that Caruth has found in motorsports is part of the reason he has been a part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program since 2018.

Tommy Joe Martins is expected to drive the No. 44 car for 10-15 races next season, while Rajah Caruth will drive the car at Dover International Speedway, Richmond Raceway, an Martinsville Speedway. Martins noted that races at Pocono Raceway and Kansas Speedway might be on the table for Rajah Caruth if sponsorship pulls through. Caruth’s schedule will be structured in such a way that his attempt at a Sunoco Rookie of the Year title will be withheld, therefore in the future he will be able to make a better attempt.

Alpha Prime Racing will recieve major sponsorship from Alpha Prime Regimen, which is a pre-workout supplement for Men and Women fitness enthusiasts.
