It was announced this afternoon that reigning NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Chase Elliott, will be bringing a new livery to this fall’s “Southern” 500 at Darlington Raceway. This paint scheme will be sponsored by Napa Auto parts and designed by pediatric patients at Atlanta, Georgia’s “Children’s healthcare” hospital.
This new paint scheme for the No. 9 uses drawings made by pediatric patients to put a spin on what is expected of a NASCAR paint scheme. Lines are not straight, coloring is not even, and eraser marks are clear as day, but the words “Courage”, “Bravery” and “Strength” shine above all, reminding everyday folks and unwell children alike what it takes to for these individuals to simply exist. For one race weekend, these children’s lives will be in the lime-light as Chase Elliott will give it his all to score a victory on their behalf.
Race gear used by the No. 9 team that weekend will be auctioned off to benefit the “Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta” Hospital. You can catch this puzzle pieces, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Napa Auto Parts Camaro race in Darlington, South Carolina for the “Southern” 500 on Sunday, September 5th, 2022. Race coverage will begin at 6:00 PM ET and will be aired live on NBCSN.
Some exciting news…
