As the regular season is starting to wind down, the drivers who have not clinched the playoffs, will be trying their hardest to win before the regular season finale at Daytona. New Hampshire marks the 5 to last race of the regular season, meaning crunch time for many drivers with playoff hopes. Many drivers, such as Ross Chastain, Aric Almirola, and quite a few others are in a must win situation in order to earn a seat in the playoffs.
Here are a few drivers to keep an eye on, that could possibly win this weekend:
- Kyle Busch [No. 18 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - The JGR driver has worked up to 3rd in the points standings after a poor start to the season. Could Busch be on the right track and win he at New Hampshire for the 3rd time in his career?
- Denny Hamlin [No. 11 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - As the top seed for the regular season championship, he might want to win at New Hampshire, because Larson has been a threat to Hamlin's points lead for multiple weeks now. A two-time winner here, could he make it three?
- Brad Keselowski [No. 2 Ford / Team Penske] - The last time that the Cup Series came here, Keselowski took home the win. Could he do it again?
- Matt DiBenedetto [No. 21 Ford / Wood Brothers Racing] - Without a ride next year, and still currently without any Cup victories to his name, DiBenedetto will want to prove himself to any teams with an open ride next year. Could his day come at New Hampshire?
- Kyle Larson [No. 5 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports] - I hope you aren't tire of seeing this driver win, because he isn't. With his ride secured at Hendrick though 2022, Larson will be one happy driver, looking for win number 5 of 2021.
Watch out for a few of these drivers too:
- Austin Dillon [No. 3 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
- Tyler Reddick [No. 8 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
- William Byron [No. 24 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
- Christopher Bell [No. 20 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing]
