Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Jeff Gordon both had the honor of designing a paint scheme for Hendrick Motorsport's No. 48 driver, Alex Bowman. The finished schemes were posted on social media and voted for by fans, except the voters did not know that they were designed by the two former Hendrick Motorsports drivers. Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s 'Neon Lights' scheme came out the winner, while Jeff Gordon's 'Music Row' scheme trailed behind. The 'Neon Lights' scheme will be driven by Alex Bowman on Sunday, June 20th, at Nashville Superspeedway.
Jeff Gordon's 'Music Row' scheme, however, will still be used by Bowman, but instead it will campaign at an approaching NASCAR iRacing event. There is not use in wasting an equally cool paint scheme, right?
