Stewart-Haas Racing |
The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year Award winner, Cole Custer, added another day of bad luck to his 2021 season.
First thing, Custer's No. 41 Ford Mustang failed pre-race inspection, not once, but twice. So that moved his starting position from 26th to starting at the end of the field.
He was able to weave his way up the field, but some sort of on-track misunderstanding occurred between him and Brad Keselowski. As it would turn out, Keselowski ended up sending Custer into the outside retaining wall, ending the SHR driver's day.
The start of 2021 was not good for any of the Stewart-Haas Racing drivers, but especially Cole Custer. Currently he only has two Top 10 finishes so far, and now carries 3 DNF's.
Hopefully Custer and the No. 41 team can turn things around in 2021, and before its too late.
