NASCAR's deep history is not very well known, even for avid fans; This article is meant to get fans in the know of the most notable NASCAR history that happened throughout this week.
- June 29th, 1952 - Tom Cherry comes out victorious for the last event staged for the recently begun open wheel class.
- July 1st, 1952 - Buddy Shuman notches a victory at the first NASCAR Grand National race held outside the United States, which was hosted by Stamford Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
- July of 1954 - Special flameproof suits are made available for $9.25 apiece by Treesdale laboratories, marking the third NASCAR specific product. In addition to these, NASCAR drivers had been offered special racing tires from Pine Oil Company, and the GenTex 70 racing helmet.
- June 27th, 1965: Cale Yarborough takes his first NASCAR Grand National win at Valdosta, Georgia. 18 laps from the finish, race leader G.C. Spencer's car developed engine problems, and Yarborough got an easy pass for the lead.
- June 28th, 2009 - Joey Logano notches his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory by winning the “Lenox Industrial Tools” 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
- June 29th, 2019 - Alex Bowman scores his first NASCAR Cup Series victory during the “Camping World” 400 at Chicagoland Speedway
- July 2nd, 1937- NASCAR’s 7-Time Winston Cup Series Champion and 200-time winner, Richard Petty is born in Level Cross, North Carolina.
