Pre Race Predictions: Coca-Cola 600

The "Coca-Cola 600" is currently the longest race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. When the race was added to the schedule in 1960, is was originally called the "World 600".

That 1960 "World 600" was also the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where the "Coca-Cola 600" is still hosted today.

The Memorial Day Weekend, "Coca-Cola 600" will take place on Sunday, May 30th, 2021. Live coverage will start at 6:00 PM EST on FOX.

Here are a few drivers to watch for the win:

  • Martin Truex, Jr. [No. 19 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - Truex has won at Charlotte Motor Speedway 3 times, and two of those wins are "Coca-Cola 600" victories.
  • Brad Keselowski [No. 2 Ford / Team Penske] - Keselowski has been very successful in past races at Charlotte, including at total of 5 wins: 2 Cup Series wins, and 3 Xfinity Series wins. I wouldn't count out Brad Keselowski this time around.
  • Kevin Harvick [No. 4 Ford / Stewart-Haas Racing] - With 3 wins here, there is no reason why Harvick can't win the "Coca-Cola 600". Yet again, it is 2021, and does his losing streak continue at Charlotte?
  • Kyle Busch [No. 18 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - If you add all of his NASCAR National Series wins here at Charlotte together, his win column will over-power everyone else's. 18 Total wins for Kyle Busch at Charlotte. Does he have a good chance at making it his 19th time in victory lane?
  • Chase Elliott [No. 9 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports] - Elliott is the most recent winner at Charlotte, but that race was 100 miles shorter. That shouldn't have an impact, or will it?

Watch out for these other drivers:
  • Austin Dillon [No. 3 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
  • Alex Bowman [No. 48 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports]
  • Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. [No. 47 Chevrolet / JTG Daugherty Racing]
  • Tyler Reddick [No. 8 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
