Kyle Busch wins Xfinity Series race at COTA - Race Results

Joe Gibbs Racing

Kyle Busch has won the “Pit Boss” 250 at Citcuit of the Americas, scoring his 98th victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

As the NASCAR Xfinity Series hosted its inaugural race at Austin Texas’ own “Circuit of the Americas” one driver was wildly dominate, that was Kyle Busch. Kyle Busch qualified for his starting position on the pole, and really aside from when he pitted, Kyle Busch remained the leader for the entire race. It’s not hard to imagine that Kyle Busch could win when he makes an Xfinity Series start, though this time Busch had a car significantly faster than everyone else.

Kaulig Racing’s cars did not win the entire race, though the No. 16 of AJ Allmendinger won stage 1 of the race, and finished 2nd just behind Kyle Busch, and the No. 11 of Justin Haley used pit strategy to his advantage, and won stage 2. On a regular week Kaulig Racing’s speed way have been enough to grab a win, but that speed was not enough to compete with the No. 54 of Kyle Busch.

Another name in the spotlight during this race was the Jordan Anderson Racing and their No. 31. This weekend at COTA, the No. 31 was piloted by 2-time Xfinity Series champion Tyler Reddick, scoring an 8th place finish in only the team’s FIRST NASCAR Xfinity Series start. The team was slated to make their debut at Daytona International Speedway for the season opener (and attempt to run full-time), but when qualifying was rained out the new team had no owners points and was not able to make a start until the next race with qualifying, that being at COTA.
