It was announced Monday afternoon (5/3/21) that Erik Jones will be driving a blue and red STP Chevrolet Camaro, this upcoming Sunday during the “Goodyear” 400 at Darlington Raceway.
This paint scheme has been designed to honor former driver of the Richard Petty Motorsports (then Petty Enterprises) No. 43, John Andretti. Andretti sadly lost his battle against colon cancer last spring at the age of 56, but will be remembered with this paint scheme. Andretti scored one win with the team, which came on April 18th 1999 at Marstinsville Speedway.
You can catch this paint scheme hit the track during the “Goodyear” 400 throwback race at Darlington Raceway on Sunday May 9th. The race will begin at 3:00 PM ET, and will be aired live on FOX Sports 1.
