It was announced yesterday morning (4/14/21) that Tyler Reddick, driver of the Richard Childress Racing No. 8, would be bringing the above new Caterpillar paint scheme to Richmond Raceway this weekend.
Caterpillar, a company that produces heavy duty construction equipment, has been a sponsor in NASCAR since 1995. Though the brand has been in NASCAR all this time, they have only been a sponsor with Richard Childress Racing since 2009, when they joined to sponsor the No. 31 of Jeff Burton.
You can catch this paint scheme hit the track at the “Toyota Owners” 400 this Sunday, April 18th at Richmond Raceway. The race will begin at 3:00 PM ET and will be broadcasted live on FOX.
