Matt DiBenedetto has undoubtedly had a rough start to the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Season, but this afternoon at Richmond Raceway, he broke the top-10 for his first time in the this season.

DiBenedetto had what some might call his best run of the season, falling consistently within the top-10, and even finishing 6th in stage 2earning the No. 21 team some stage points.

With a 9th place finish as his best this season, what are his current season statistics? Here they are:

  • Daytona - 33rd / DNF
  • Daytona Road Course - 37th
  • Homestead-Miami - 28th
  • Las Vegas - 16th
  • Phoenix - 14th
  • Atlanta - 11th
  • Bristol (Dirt) - 13th
  • Martinsville - 12th
  • Richmond - 9th

While DiBenedetto fell short at Atlanta, with an 11th place finish, in the past six races he has steadily finished within the top-20. The next track for the Cup Series just happens to be Talladega, where DiBenedetto has had some solid finishes at previously.

Can Matt DiBenedetto keep the upward trend with another top-10 at Talladega next week? Let us know what you think in the comments below, we’d love to hear your thoughts!
