On Thursday evening (4/29/21) Hendrick Motorsports announced that Kyle Larson would bring the above throwback paint scheme to Darlington Raceway for the May 9th throwback race.
This paint scheme is a nod to Kyle Larson’s first race car, which was a 1/4 midget sprint car, painted up in red, white, and teal (see below). Kyle Larson originally raced this paint scheme for his family’s team, MAJ1K (or MAJIK) Motorsports.

You can catch this paint scheme hit the track on Sunday, May 9th, during the “Goodyear” 400 at Darlington Raceway. The race will begin at 3:30 PM ET, and will be aired live on FOX Sports 1.
