This morning (4/28/21) team owner Matt Kaulig announced on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, that in response to the team’s success running part-time, in 2022 Kaulig Racing will run full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, with at least one car.

Kaulig told radio listeners “We are going full time Cup Racing next year... We’ll have at least one car” and “That’s definitely a done deal, so we’re super excited about that”.

Thus far, during Kaulig Racing’s part-time effort in the NASCAR Cup Series, the team has seen some fairly decent, if not downright good results. In 2020 Justin Haley finished 13th for the team at “Daytona” 500, even after being involved in a big wreck. This season Kaz Grala has run two races for the team, finishing 28th at the “Daytona” 500 (after the car caught fire), and most recently 7th during the “Geico” 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Well weathered driver AJ Allmendinger also made a Cup Series start for Kaulig Racing this season; during the “O’Reilly Auto Parts” 253 at the Daytona Road Course, where Allmendinger finished 17th.

Kaulig Racing still has 7-8 more Cup Series starts planned for this season, before they join the series full-time in 2022.
