Jeb Burton has won the “Ag-Pro” 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, after rain brought a early finish to the race. This win marks Burton’s first career victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
As the NASCAR traveled to Alabama’s superspeedway, the Xfinity Series put on an amazing show. This race saw names, big and small finish and perform well. Some small names who has the opportunity to shine during today’s race were; Brandon Brown, and Tommy Joe Martins. Brandon Brown, at the moment of the races early conclusion sat 7th, which marks one of his best finishes of the 2021 season. Tommy Joe Martins was able to prove himself today as finished just outside the top-10, with a solid 11th place finish.
Likely one of the biggest incidents of the “Ag-Pro” 300 occurred on lap 84 when Joe Graf Jr. slid up the track into both Michael Annett, and Brandon Jones. Michael Annett proceeded to lose control of the No. 1 car on the back straight away, and without choice spun right in front of the No. 54 of Ty Dillon. Directly after this impact, the No. 54 car took a hard right, and slammed into the side of teammate Brandon Jones and the No. 19 car. This wreck was the end of the day for drivers Ty Dillon, and Brandon Jones.
During this race Justin Haley won stage 1, Noah Gragson won stage 2, and of course Jeb Burton won stage 3. Noah Gragson also won the $100,000 “Dash for Cash” reward for a second race in a row.
