Thursday afternoon (4/22/21) Netflix announced that they have a documentary series in the works for NASCAR’s driver of the No. 23, Bubba Wallace.
This documentary series will take a deeper look at NASCAR, the processes of owning a team, and responsibilities of a driver. This documentary series will also be unique because it focuses on the African American driver to currently drive in NASCAR’s top series. It’s expected that Netflix will be documenting some of what it’s like to fill those big shoes.
Netflix, the world’s largest streaming service, is known for their involvement in motorsports, with content like “Formula 1: Drive to Survive”, and their most recent endeavor “The Crew”. This series of documentaries will only add on to their involvement with motorsports, and NASCAR specifically, with a more serious and collective look into the everyday duties of a NASCAR team and it’s members.
Netflix did not provide a release date for this series of documentaries. Follow Stock Car Media, as we will keep you updated on this topic, and news that relates to it.
Please don't. The community has suffered enough without justifying the poor actions of a mediocre driver, poor sportsman, and self entitled man child, who's only claim to fame is that he was blessed with a beautiful skin color.
ReplyDeleteHi Ampgirl, unfortunately we at Stock Car Media do not have a say in the matter, we are simply reporting on this topic. With that being said, this series should bring some publicity to NASCAR as a whole, which I really cannot argue with. Thank you for your input on this topic, we really appreciate the feedback!
