RP Funding to sponsor the No. 43 of Erik Jones in the Busch Clash

Richard Petty Motorsports

The Richard Petty Motorsports iconic No. 43 will get a new look for the 2021 Busch Clash, a paint scheme featuring a company called RP Funding. The 43rd running of the Busch Clash will take place on Tuesday, February 9th at 7:00 PM at Daytona International Speedway, and will be aired on FS1.

RP Funding is one of the top direct mortgage lenders in the state of Florida, and has helped countless clients save thousands of dollars on their new or refinanced home loans. Now the company is for the first time getting involved with NASCAR, as a primary sponsor on a race car. Richard Petty Motorsports says that RP Funding will only be the primary sponsor of the No. 43 Camaro ZL1 1LE for a single race; that of course would be the 2021 Busch Clash at Daytona.

Last year, at the 2020 Busch Clash, Erik Jones crossed the finish line first, with only six remaining entries of the normal eighteen car field. This victory for Jones went down in history, as the 2020 Busch Clash was the longest Busch Clash EVER, and more than half of the field was caught up in a wreck and did not finish. This race ended after three overtime attempts, with the winner, Erik Jones, driving a greatly damaged Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing.

RP Funding and its president Robert Palmer hope that this sponsorship in the No. 43 will help their company expand and gain brand recognition. Jones has won it before in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry, RP Funding only hopes he can do it again in the Richard Petty Motorsports flagship No. 43.
