Jordan Anderson Racing announced earlier today that the team will expand to run full time in the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series. Jordan Anderson will be piloting the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Anderson hopes to compete for Sunoco rookie of the year honors.
The No. 31 Chevrolet will be sponsored by Bommarito Automotive Group, which operates 20 automotive franchises and multiple collision centers throughout St. Lois Missouri. The cars that Jordan Anderson Racing will be running have recently been acquired from Richard Childress Racing, containing ECR engines.
Jordan Anderson Racing has competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the past three years with the No. 3 truck. The team has claimed multiple top 10 finishes, but has yet to score its first victory. With hopes of eventually scoring that victory the team decided it was time to expand to the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Jordan Anderson Racing will continue to field the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (with assistance from Bruce Cook) throughout the season, with select drivers. The first of these select drivers will be Jordan Anderson himself at the season opening NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona International Speedway, other drivers are to be announced at a later date. Artie Haire who joined the team last summer (2020) will continue to serve as crew chief for the organization.
The No. 31 holds significance to Jordan Anderson, as it is supposedly a combination the No. 3 truck him and his team ran, and the No. 1 truck Anderson ran for another team (with Bommarito Automotive Group Sponsorship)
Other sponsorship details for the JAR No. 31 car are to be announced at a later date
It’s official. We are going @NASCAR_Xfinity racing this year!
