Garrett Smithley returning to run partial cup schedule with Rick Ware Racing

    Rick Ware Racing announced Wednesday (1/27/21) that driver Garrett Smithley would return to the team in 2021 to run a partial cup series schedule.

Smithley joined Rick Ware Racing for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season and raced 26 races with the team. 

Smithley, while fairly new to the cup series has seen his fair share of racing. Garrett Smithley has raced in major racing organizations such as the U.S. Legends Car Series, ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and most recently the NASCAR Cup Series.

Smithley’s best career finish came at the Daytona International Speedway in 2018 at the Powershares QQQ 300, where he finished 5th. 

Garrett Smithley told Rick Ware Racing media “Rick (Ware) has given me some amazing opportunities throughout the year, and I’m excited to capitalize on this one in 2021”
