Keystone Light to sponsor the No. 2 of Brad Keselowski

Team Penske

It was announced today that Keystone Light will be joining Team Penske to sponsor the No. 2 car for the Coca-Cola 600.

Keystone Light, while new to the No. 2 car, is owned by Molson Coors who also owns the brand Miller Lite, which has extensively sponsored the Team Penske No. 2 car for the past few decades.

In recent years we have seen Miller Lite slowly but surely step down with their sponsorship to the No. 2 car. For this reason many expected Molson Coors to end their sponsorship completely with Team Penske in the near future, but with this news it could bring hope for the No. 2 team and their Molson Coors sponsorship.

This switch has been rumored for weeks now, as advertisements for Brad Keselowski and the Keystone Light No. 2 car have been appearing in public places across the country, before being officially announced earlier today.

It is suggested that the switch from Miller Lite to Keystone Light by the parent company was to help Keystone Light (and all of Molson Coors) better compete with another NASCAR sponsor, Busch Light. Just by looking at the new No. 2 Keystone Light paint scheme it is easy to draw parallels between it and the No. 4 Busch Light paint scheme (driven by Stewart-Hass Racing’s Kevin Harvick).

While not all are fans of Brad Keselowski, or Team Penske it is undoubtedly good to hear that the No. 2 car will retain some sort of sponsorship with Molson Coors.
