The 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Austin Cindric will attempt to make his NASCAR Cup Series debut at the Daytona 500 in February. Cincric will drive the Team Penske No. 33 Ford Mustang in attempt to qualify for the "Great American Race". It will be a tough challenge for the 22 year old to take on, especially with hopes of earning for a starting position in the race, but necessary as he will not be running on a charter.

Miles Stanley, who in the past has worked as a race engineer for the No. 12 and No. 22 Penske teams, will take the roll of crew chief for the No. 33 car. Stanley joined Team Penske as a race engineer back in 2013 and was a part of the No. 22 team with Joey Logano  for 7 seasons, before transitioning over to the No. 12 team with Ryan Blaney in 2020. Stanley will remain with the No. 12 team for the all of the other 2021 NASCAR Cup Series races.

Austin Cindric hopes to make other starts in the NASCAR Cup Series this season in the No. 33 car before he joins the NASCAR Cup Series full time in 2022 with the No. 21 of Wood Brothers Racing, a satellite team of Team Penske.

Further information about other possible Cup Series starts for Cindric and the No. 33 car have yet to be announced by Team Penske
