Recogni, iLOQ to sponsor Kimi Riakkonen at Watkins Glen International

    Trackhouse Racing revealed earlier this Summer that to debut their third team, “Project 91” entry, Kimi Raikkonen would make his return to NASCAR’s National Series, in the Cup Series “Go Bowling at The Glen”. As of Tuesday, August 16th, 2022, the team has officially revealed a paint scheme for the Formula1 Champion.

In the paint scheme displayed above, it can be observed that companies, Recogni and iLOQ will adorn the car as Raikkonen, “The Iceman” makes his Cup Series debut. 

Recogni is a company that is developing software to create advanced AI recognition for autonomous vehicles. As the march for driverless vehicles advances, the market for Recogni’s “Better-Than-Human” Autonomous Vehicle Safety broadens. As for iLOQ, this company that has developed the only electronic lock cylinder, that is self powered by harvesting electricity from key insertion.

Raikkonen is no stranger to a road course race. The 2007 Formula 1 World Champion boasts an impressive 21 race wins under a whopping 15 different circuits. Beyond his vast Formula 1 racing experience Raikkonen has made starts in NASCAR’s top divisions. In the year 2011, Kimi Raikkonen made two NASCAR starts. One in the Camping World Truck Series and one in the Nationwide Series. Raikkonen finished 15th and 27th respectively.

You can catch Kimi Raikkonen return to NASCAR competition this Sunday, August 21st, 2021 for the “Go Bowling at the Glen” at Watkins Glen International.
