Sargento Foods joins forces with Josh Bilicki and Alpha Prime Racing for Watkins Glen

     It was announced Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 that Sargento Foods Incorporated will join forces with Josh Bilicki and Alpha Prime racing to sponsor the No. 45 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Watkins Glen International.

Sargento Cheese first found themselves associated with the NASCAR race team, co-owned by Tommy Joe Martins, when earlier this season, at Road America, Josh Bilicki crashed the No. 45 Camaro into Sargento signage and toted the brand image on track. Now several weeks later the two forces will unite on a more official basis, bringing a ‘cheesy’ paint scheme to New York’s home for NASCAR racing.

While Josh Bilicki has statistics to support his career on all NASCAR track styles, Bilicki has results to boast at road course race tracks. Josh Bilicki began his racing career on road course type race tracks driving Go-Karts. At a young age Bilicki began professionally racing shifter go-karts on road courses, and eventually moved on to racing in sports car racing series. Bilicki began his road racing venture in series’ like Spec Miata and the Sport Car Club of America at only 15 years of age. Within his first year, Bilicki scored two pole positions, four top-five finishes and looked to be a real contender on the road course format. His NASCAR years were still yet to come.

Josh Bilicki will put his road racing capability to the test in the upcoming weekend at Watkins Glen International carrying Sargento branding throughout the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
