Kurt Busch not cleared to race after crash at Pocono

Following a crash during the NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session at Pocono Raceway, driver Kurt Busch will not start the "M&M's Fan Appreciation" 400 due to concussion-like symptoms. No driver has been announced to pilot the No. 45 car, which will unfortunately be a back-up car from the 23XI Racing team.

NASCAR will likely sign a playoff waiver for Busch, as he had locked himself into the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs with a win just a few months back. However, missing this race will make him the last driver with a win and in danger of missing the playoffs if the series gets 17 different winners by the regular season title.

Last year at Pocono Raceway, driver Justin Haley was involved in a multi-car crash that forced him to sit out the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday while a fill in driver raced in his place.
