Chase Elliott wins pole for Martinsville: Starting lineup for 2022 Cup Series "Blu-Emu Maximum Pain Relief" 400

    Chase Elliott will start on the pole of Saturday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway, claiming his first Busch Pole Award for the 2022 Season, and first since the 2020 Championship race.

The No. 9 machine turned a fast lap of 19.694 seconds (96.151 MPH), which was a bit faster than Aric Almirola's lap of 19.799 seconds (95.641 MPH).
