Spire Motorsports |
Justin Allgaier who has attended various tests for the NASCAR Cup Series 'Next-Gen', Gen-7 car is primed to take on Bristol Dirt as all drivers are put under a rather new set of circumstances.
Spire Motorsports, is a race team competing at NASCAR's top level, the Cup Series. Like many other NASCAR race teams, Spire Motorsports is based in the Concord, North Carolina area of the United States. Among the many achievements of the team, Spire Motorsports has scored two NASCAR victories, one coming in the Cup Series with Justin Haley during the Summer race at Daytona International Speedway, and a second coming just last week at Martinsville Speedway with Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron behind the wheel.
Throughout Justin Allgaier's career, the veteran driver has competed in 79 races at the NASCAR Cup Series level. Two of Allgaier's 'full-time' seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series came in 2014 and 2015 when he drove for HScott Motorsports. In 2021, Allgaier would return to the NASCAR Cup Series field, driving the No. 77 twice for none other than Spire Motorsports.
His first Cup Series start of the season came in an unexpected manner at Pocono Raceway. Justin Haley who drove the No. 11 car for Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, was also on the docket, driving the No. 77 car for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series. After a series of unfortunate events during the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Kaulig Racing's No. 11 car would wreck, and Justin Haley was feeling less that satisfactory. Justin Allgaier then had the opportunity to fill the seat of Spire Motorsports' No. 77 entry, taking the reigns as Haley was unable to compete.
Justin Allgaier made a return to Spire Motorsports and the No. 77 team later that season, and this time in a planned fashion. Allgaier and Brandt Professional Agriculture made an attempt entering the NASCAR Cup Series fall race 2021 at Talladgea Superspeedway. The team has decent speed, although unfortunate circumstances of superspeedway race left Kyle Larson wrecking and Justin Allgaier involved.
Now, Brandt Professional Agriculture will have another try at NASCAR Cup Series competition, hoping to strike it rich at Bristol Dirt.
You can catch Justin Allgaier and the No. 77 Spire Motorsports team hit the track this weekend, Sunday April 17th, 2022 during the Easter "Food City Dirt Race" at Bristol Motor Speedway upon the resurfaced dirt track. Race coverage will begin at 7:00 PM ET, and will be aired live on FOX.
