Trevor Bayne wins the pole for Phoenix: Starting lineup for the 2022 "United Rentals" 200

    For the first time since 2014, Trevor Bayne will start in the pole position in a NASCAR Xfinity Series race, as he won the pole for the "United Rentals" 200 at Phoenix Raceway.

Bayne qualified first with a fast lap of 27.306 seconds (131.839 MPH), beating Noah Gragson's lap time of 27.363 seconds (131.565 MPH). With an entry list of 42 cars, four drivers and teams would not go one to compete after the qualifying sessions. Jesse Little in the No. 34, Loris Hezemans in the No. 33, Stan Mullis in the No. 13 all failed to qualify on time. Brennan Poole did not make a lap during the session, so his No. 47 car will not make the final lineup either.
