Team Stange Racing to join NASCAR Cup Series: Will run 8 races in 2022

Team Stange Racing
A brand-new NASCAR Cup Series team has emerged out of basically nowhere, under the name of "Team Stange Racing".  Team Stange Racing is not entirely new to motorsports, as they previously have made an IndyCar start in the 2019 "Indianapolis" 500.

Team Stange Racing has plans to run the No. 79 Ford Mustang with funding from Dignity Gold, LLC.

Dignity Gold is a United States-based digital security company that is taking a revolutionary approach to using verified gold reserves to back its security token. Making the deal between Team Stange Racing and Dignity Gold even more unique is that the entire sponsorship was paid in Dignity Gold’s DIGau tokens (traded on CryptoSX and BitGlobal).

The single-car team has unveiled former Formula 1 and open-wheel driver Tarso Marques as their pilot for their part-time schedule in 2022.

Here is the complete 2022 NASCAR Cup Series schedule for Team Stange Racing:

  1. Road America (Sunday, July 3rd)
  2. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course (Sunday, July 31st)
  3. Watkins Glen International (Sunday, August 21st)
  4. Daytona International Speedway (Sunday, August 27th)
  5. Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course (Sunday, October 9th)
  6. Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Sunday, October 16th)
  7. Homestead-Miami Speedway (Sunday, October 23th)
  8. Phoenix Raceway (Sunday, November 6th)

Team Stange Racing will also run the NASCAR Truck Series Race as a refresher on June 12th at Sonoma Raceway in California.

Otherwise, there is still not much information about Team Stange Racing and their planned NASCAR debut, so this could be one of those "believe it when you see it" type of scenario's. Make sure you stay tuned to Stock Car Media, and we will keep you posted on this developing story.
