The reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series champion will go into defense mode heading into the series opening race at Daytona International Speedway, getting off to a great start by winning the pole for the "Beef. It's What's for Dinner" 300.
Daniel Hemric, now driving the No. 11 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing, is trying to earn his keep with the championship caliber organization. Winning the championship even though he won a single race was huge for Hemric, after many winless seasons.
Rookie driver Austin Hill would be the second fastest during the qualifying session, which will give him a front row seat next to Hemric to start the race. Jade Buford, Sheldon Creed, and Brett Moffitt rounded out the top-5.
