It was unveiled on Thursday evening (02/03/2022), that NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race Winner Christian Eckes, would have his place in the sport for the upcoming 2022 season. That ride would turn out to be the No. 98 Toyota Tundra for ThorSport Racing, the same place and ride Eckes drove to victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in September 2021.

Christian Eckes, a native of Middletown, New York has competed in the NASCAR picture since 2018. His first start came in the 2018 NASCAR Truck Series, with Kyle Busch Motorsports. Eckes would return to the team for the 2019 Season, getting off to a great start with the pole position at Daytona Interational Speedway. He would go on to run the complete 2020 NASCAR Truck Series schedule with KBM in the No. 18 Toyota Tundra. Despite having a good run with 7 top-five and 11 top-10 finishes, it appeared that he would have to sit without a ride for the 2021 season, as KBM would not resign him to drive their equipment.

Luckly for Eckes, he would be picked up by ThorSport Racing as a part-time driver for their No. 98 Tundra: sharing the ride with Grant Enfinger. In Eckes' slated 10 starts, he scored five top-10 finishes, including his first-ever Truck Series victory.

Sponsorship for Eckes was not completely unveiled, but it is expected that T Sport and Curb Records will return to the organization.

What will we see from Christain Eckes in ThorSport equipment in the upcoming season? I guess we will have to just wait and see!
