On none other than "National Croissant Day", Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen unveiled their 2022 paint scheme for the Richard Childress Racing No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro, this past Sunday (01/30/2022). As previously announced, driver Tyler Reddick will be fighting for his first-ever NASCAR Cup Series victory in his third season on the circuit; all of which, has been in the No. 8 car.
Cheddars has been a primary partner of RCR and Tyler Reddick since his debut on the NASCAR Cup Series scene in 2020, as an associate sponsor and a two primary sponsorship races as well. For the 2021 Season, the restaurant chain would provide 3 races of primary sponsorship for Reddick. Their first race as a primary sponsor of the No. 8 car for 2021 would come up with a runner-up finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Reddick's highest finish in NASCAR's top series.
For the most part, there is nothing to really say about the new scheme, as it looks like the last two Cheddar's paint schemes. Maye they were able to fit more sketched croissants across the car with the new number placement.
The number of races that Cheddar's will appear as the primary sponsor on the No. 8 car is currently unknown for the 2022 Season. I would expect that they return for as many as three races, like in 2021.
