Christopher Bell gets new Rheem paint scheme for 2022

Joe Gibbs Racing
Late Monday morning (1/10/22) Joe Gibbs Racing revealed a new paint scheme for Christopher Bell and one of his primary sponsors Rheem. This new paint scheme stands out amongst previous Rheem paint schemes as it features a new chrome number for the No. 20, which has been slid forward (per NASCAR rule changes), and also the Rheem logo has been shifted forward, leaving possible room for one off affiliate sponsorship on the quarter panel.

Rheem which is a provider of gas furnaces, air conditioners, and air handlers (among other products and services) will be embarking on their 15th season in as a sponsor in the NASCAR Cup Series, and continuing a long time sponsorship with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Rheem scored their first win in NASCAR's top division all the way back in 2007, when Richard Childress Racings' Kevin Harvick the Daytona 500, and Rheem appeared as one of the No. 29 team's associate sponsors. As this article is being written, Rheem most recently won in the NASCAR Cup Series with Christopher Bell at the Dayton Road Course in 2021, but more victories will likely be scored somewhere down the line. To commemorate Rheem's 15th year in the sport, Christopher Bell will run a 15th anniversary decal on the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Camry during the 2022 race season, which can clearly be seen on the No. 20's TV panel above.

The number of races that Rheem will sponsor Christopher Bell in 2022 is unclear, but it is expected that the company will once again sponsor Bell for a considerable portion of the season. Rheem will also take on sponsorship for Kyle Busch in 2022, sponsoring the No. 18 car, but likely for only a few races.

Joe Gibbs Racing and Christopher Bell will debut these Rheem colors as the NASCAR heads to the newly reconfigured Auto Club Speedway in California for the second race of the season, in February. You can catch this paint scheme hit the track at 3:30 ET, as the "Wise Power" 400 at Auto Club Speedway is aired live on FOX.
