MBM Motorsports/Shawn Magee Design |
By entering their vehicle VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), users of Bumper.com can find out about accident reports, theft reports, salvage records, and even suggested repairs. The Bumper.com paint scheme for Timmy Hill's No. 66 Mustang takes advantage of the new space opened up by the recent changes in number placement rules. While some teams have botched their graphic design, and left portions of the car entirely blank, MBM Motorsports and Shawn Magee Design did not. Although not always a competitive team, MBM Motorsports out did many teams with the design aspect of their car.
It should be noted that MBM Motorsports does not currently own a charter, and likely will not be able to purchase one before the "Daytona" 500 in just a few weeks. A charter ensures that teams will not miss an event due to poor qualifying, and also allows teams to have first grabs at racing supplies needed for NASCAR's Next Gen car. For that reason alone, the No. 66 will almost certainly appear at Daytona International Speedway in February, but whether or not they make it to the main event is unknown.
The 64th running of the NASCAR Cup Series "Daytona" 500 will take place on Sunday, February 20th, 2022 at 2:30 PM ET. The race event will be aired live on FOX. Be sure to catch all the Speedweeks action leading up to "The Great American Race" to see if Timmy Hill and MBM Motorsports make the main event.
