Discount Tire will continue sponsorship of Team Penske; Races for Cindric and Blaney

    As it was expected, Discount Tire announced Friday evening (12/10/21) that the company will continue their sponsorship with Team Penske for the 2022 race season. 

Discount Tire will continue as a team sponsor of the three NASCAR Cup Series entries, and will bring primary sponsorship for Austin Cindric's No. 2 Ford Mustang throughout the season. The company is expected expected to take around 13 races for Cindric, and will add two new races for Ryan Blaney in the No. 12 machine.

Discount Tire's NASCAR sponsorship dates back into the early Chip Ganassi Racing days, first appearing on the car of Reed Sorenson. "America's Tire" company, has been to victory lane only twice in their many years of NASCAR Cup Series sponsorship, both times were with former Team Penske driver, Brad Keselowski. They, however, have over 30 NASCAR Xfinity wins with the organization.

No paint scheme has been unveiled, and no other details of the partnership have been released, although that information should be announced upon a later date.
