Dye ran the complete eight-race ARCA Menard's East Series schedule during the 2021 season. With two top-5's and 7 top-10's, he ranked 2nd in points. He also win won his first ARCA Menard's Series victory in July during the race at Berlin Raceway.
GMS Racing announced back in October, that Dye would return to the team full-time next season. He was slated to run the No. 21 Chevrolet, but there have been some changes. GMS Racing had recently purchased the majority interest of NASCAR Cup Series team, Richard Petty Motorsports. With that majority interest purchase, GMS Racing now owns the rights to the legendary No. 43.
Daniel Dye, who comes from a late-model racing background, has ran the No. 43 in most of his racing endeavors prior to ARCA. Most recently, he has competed in the past two Snowball Derby late-model races at Five Flags Speedway, running the No. 43.
So, Daniel Dye will now pilot the No. 43 Chevrolet in the ARCA Menard's Series during the 2022 season. Will Dye bring the No. 43 back to victory lane? Only time will tell.
