Ricky Stenhouse Jr. gets Honey Nut Cheerios paint scheme for Phoeinix

JTG Daugherty Racing

It was announced yesterday evening with the release of the entry list for this Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway that Ricky Stenhouse Jr., driver of the JTG Daugherty Racing No. 47 will bring a sharp Honey Nuts Cheerios paint scheme to the track this weekend.

Stenhouse who sits 22nd in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series standings is hoping to finish off the season on a good foot. The No. 47 team along with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has certainly seen a lot of improvement this season as the 34 year old has currently sits 2 positions in the standings above his 2020 24th place season. Just as, if not more impressive is his improvement upon average finish, currently beholding a 19.3 average finish for the 2021 season, 3.3 positions better than his 22.6 average finish from 2020. With any luck, a perfect day at Phoenix could allow Stenhouse and the No. 47 team to finish off the season 21st or better in the standings.

Honey Nut Cheerios, a delicious variation of General Mills' classic breakfast cereal is no stranger to JTG Daugherty Racing, as Cheerios has helped sponsor the team in one way or another since the mid 2010's. One year ago, as the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season came to a close at Phoenix, this paint paint scheme hit the track, the only twist is that it rode along with Ryan Preece on the No. 37 Camaro (see below):
