Austin Dillon gets new Whelen paint scheme for Cup Series event at the Charlotte ROVAL

    It was announced mere seconds ago (10/5/21) that Austin Dillon will pilot a brand new red and white No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway's ROVAL (road-course-oval) with sponsorship from Whelen. 

Austin Dillon, not particularly known for his road course racing, has shown improvement throughout the last couple of seasons. The grandson of Richard Childress (Austin Dillon) boasts four top-15 finishes during the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season's schedule which was jam-packed with road courses. That statistic stands out in stark contrast to Dillon's 2019 season where he never even scored a single top-20 road course finish.

Whelen is a name well known in the automotive and motor sports industry as they sponsor both the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, as well as the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Whelen predominately produces emergency lights and sirens for first responders such as Police Officers, Firefighters, and Paramedics. Whelen also produces lighting systems for the purpose of aviation. 

You can catch this paint scheme hit the track this Sunday, October 10th, 2021 as the NASCAR Cup Series heads the fourth annual running of the NASCAR Cup Series "Bank Of America Roval" 400 at the Charlottle Motor Speedway ROVAL. Race coverage will begin at 2:00 PM ET and will be aired live on NBC.
