Earlier today (9/29/21), NASCAR released the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series race schedule.
Major changes to the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule include the elimination of the Daytona Road Course and Auto Club Speedway moving into the 2nd race slot. COTA will move from May into March, Mid-Ohio will not return and Portland is set to take its place. It is worth noting that the playoff opening race will be held at Texas Motor Speedway, and Homestead-Miami has been moved into the Round of 8.
There are definitely some major changes to the Xfinity Series being presented through this new schedule, though thankfully it appears most of them are not detrimental to the sport.
This is going to be fun!
