No matter whether it’s the Spring, or the Fall race, the NASCAR Cup Series races at Martinsville Speedway are always entertaining to watch.
Martinsville just has a reputation of mixing up the winners list, but most of the drivers who do win at Martinsville, usually have more than one. Of all of the current Cup Series drivers, only Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott are single time winners here. All the other winners, have won here multiple times.
Who has a good chance at winning the Spring Martinsville race:
- Martin Truex, Jr. [No. 19 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - Truex has showed strong runs at Martinsville in the past, winning 2 of the last 3 races. Truex could have a chance to score his second victory of 2021 this weekend at Martinsville.
- Denny Hamlin [No. 11 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - The current points leader has yet to win this season, but could he add to his points lead by snatching a victory at Martinsville? I think it’s a possibility.
- Ryan Blaney [No. 12 Ford / Team Penske] - Blaney has finished in 2nd place in the last two races at Martinsville Speedway. If he brings that speed again this weekend, he very well could be a contender for the win.
- Kurt Busch [No. 1 Chevrolet / Chip Ganassi Racing] - Kurt Busch has 4 Top 10's in the last 5 races. He is very consistent at Martinsville lately, and could add on to the Top 10 streak.
The drivers that could have a good run this weekend (& could possibly win):
- William Byron [No. 24 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports]
- Bubba Wallace [No. 23 Toyota / 23XI Racing]
- Kyle Busch [No. 18 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing]
