Thursday morning (4/15/21), Ford Motor Company announced that in 2022, as NASCAR debuts its Next Gen (7th Generation) stock car, that the manufacturer will continue to promote their Ford Mustang though it’s manufacturer specific body.
Ford, one of NASCAR’s 3 manufacturers, has used the Mustang body in the Cup Series since 2019, when they moved away from the previous Ford Fusion platform.
The remainder of the manufacturer chosen bodies, and more information on them, will be released in a press conference held by NASCAR on May 5th 2021.
