Spire Motorsports announced this evening (3/16/21) that Stewart Friesen will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut at the upcoming Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. For this race, Friesen will drive the Spire Motorsports No. 77, with sponsorship from Halmar International.
Stewart Friesen is a fitting driver to race at the Bristol Dirt race, which will be the first time that the Cup Series will race on dirt since 1970 (State Fairgrounds, Raleigh NC). Friesen is a two time winner in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, scoring his most recent win in 2019 when the series most recently visited Eldora Speedway, a true dirt track.
You can see Stewart Friesen make his NASCAR Cup Series debut on Sunday, March 28th, during the “Food City Dirt Race” at Bristol Motor Speedway. The race will be aired live at 3:30 PM EST on FOX.
Any sort of paint scheme for the Halmar International No. 77 has yet to be released, though Stock Car Media will keep you updated on this topic.
