The first practice session for the Food City Dirt Race on Bristol Motor Speedway is complete. Alex Bowman scored the fastest lap, driving the Hendrick Motorsports No. 48 Camaro, followed by Christopher Bell, driving the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Camry, who scored the 2nd fastest lap.
This practice session is the first that the NASCAR Cup Series has held since the season opening race, the Daytona 500. In this practice session we saw many drivers, with and without dirt racing experience, learning how to run at Bristol dirt.
