Gaunt Brothers Racing and Ty Dillon will not start in this years Daytona 500. Dillon ran in Duel 1, finished 6th in the 22 car lineup, but will miss the "Great American Race". He ran the No. 96 Toyota Camry.

After a late, last lap pass by Ryan Preece, Dillon was knocked out of contenting at Daytona on Sunday. Preece had a better qualification speed than Dillon, but had to pass him to make sure he was racing in the Daytona 500.

Austin Cindric was then able to qualify for Daytona instead of Dillon (based on qualifying speed).

Ty Dillon will return to the No. 96 Bass Pro Shops/Black Rifle Coffee Toyota for the Daytona Road Course, but no other racing plans have been announced for him in 2021.
