John Hunter Nemechek to drive No. 26 for partial Xfinity schedule

23 year old, John Hunter Nemechek who will be driving full-time for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this year, will also make select starts for Sam Hunt Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. John Hunter Nemechek will make his debut with the team this Spring on May 15th at the Monster Mile, Dover International Speedway.

Nemechek has not driven in the Xfinity Series since 2019, but is a promising choice as he scored a victory in 2018, and finished 7th in the championship standings in 2019. John Hunter Nemechek also raced last year in the NASCAR Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports in the No. 38 Ford Mustang, before making the decision to leave the team last fall.

While Nemechek has had fewer victories than others, he has still far more experience than many drivers in the Xfinity Series, and for that reason, I believe this will prove to be a good decision for Sam Hunt Racing.
