Kyle Larson, Hendrick Motorsports newest driver of the No. 5 car has officially found sponsorship through a company called NationsGuard. NationsGuard has signed on to sponsor the No. 5 car for 3 races; the Daytona 500 on Feb. 14th, the Daytona Road Course on Feb 21st, and on Feb. 28th at Homestead Miami Speedway.
This comes as little surprise to many fans as the NationsGuard logo was displayed on a leaked photo of the No. 5 teams hauler earlier this month (although it was brought into question more than once whether this would be a primary sponsor or not).
This brand new paint scheme for Kyle Larson (shown above) for the No. 5 displays the NationsGuard logo on the hood and rear of the car. This paint scheme has black and white sections of the car, with green accents to bring out specific portions of the car. These colors are specific to the NationsGuard logo and brand.
NationsGuard is a company that helps automotive dealerships start their own warranty companies. This sponsorship was likely aided by the team owner Rick Hendrick who owns multiple car dealerships, and likely has some sort of connection to NationsGuard through his dealerships.
