Jamie McMurray returns to NASCAR to race the Daytona 500

Former Daytona 500 champion Jamie McMurray returns to the NASCAR Cup Series to make a start in the Daytona 500. McMurray is set to drive the #77 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports in the Daytona 500 this February, and is to be sponsored by Advent Health. Advent Health has played a large roll in NASCAR throughout the past decade, as a team partner with Chip Ganassi Racing, and as a partner with the Daytona International Speedway.

Each year, Advent Health brings many first aid and care resources to the track, to be used by both fans and drivers.

Since announcing his retirement in 2018 (to join Fox Sports as an NASCAR analyst) McMurray has returned to the NASCAR Cup Series once in 2019, which was also with Spire Motorsports.

Spire Motorsports announced in late 2020 that Corey Lajoie would be driving the #7 Chevrolet Camaro. This will bring Lajoie and McMurray together as teammates for “The Great American Race” this February.
