Kaz Grala joins Sam Hunt Racing for full-time Xfinity seat in 2023

Sam Hunt Racing made an official announcement this morning (12/08/2022), that Kaz Grala will pilot the No. 26 Toyota Supra on a full-time basis in 2023. Grala will become the team's first-ever full-time driver and will run alongside a part-time No. 24 machine fielded by Sam Hunt Racing.

Grala is considered to be a highly talented driver, and has a bright future if things fall in his direction at the right times. With a single full-time season in the top-three NASCAR Racing Series' coming in the 2017 Truck Series season, it has been a while since the driver has seen championship and/or playoff contention. His one and only NASCAR National Series win came in that 2017 season, placing him in the playoffs.

Since then, Grala has made starts with many small, growing teams over the past few years to expand his horizons in the stock car/truck racing world: even making a couple of NASCAR Cup Series starts in the past-three seasons. He will look to build off of 5 top-5 and 10 top-10 finishes inside the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and with 44 starts to his name.

Sponsorship for Grala has not been confirmed, but we do know that the SHR ride will be officially backed by Toyota, so some funding throughout the year may come from TRD.
