The 32 year old driver from Middletown, Connecticut, began his NASCAR Cup Series career with the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 team. Despite racing for that powerhouse organization over the span of four seasons, Logano’s lone championship and 27 of his 29 victories came during his tenure at Team Penske. With today’s new’s it appears that winning streak will have opportunity to continue.
"I’m excited to be continuing our relationship together so we can keep focusing on winning races, more championships and doing what we do for many years to come." Logano said. That successful relationship between ‘The Captain’, Roger Penske and Joey Logano has shown no signs of stopping as of late. Though overall team performance has stumbled, Logano has collected wins at Darlington Raceway, Worldwide Technology Raceway, and at the season opening exhibition Clash at the LA Coliseum. This may look like a success story next to his lone win in 2021 at the Bristol Dirt Race, but Logano has had winning speed up his sleeve for quite some time.
Logano’s best statistical season came in 2015, when he scored six wins, 22 top-five, and 28 top-10 finishes, earring a total of $9,663,863. Now, with a multiple year continuation at Team Penske, Joey Logano will have more opportunities to further advance his performance.
