Well before the 2021 season, it appeared that Bodine would not return behind the wheel of any of the three NASCAR National Series, until a social media post in September by Marcus Lemonis, the CEO of Camping World, Good Sam and Overton’s, challenged Bodine to become one of the few drivers to complete 800 starts across the top NASCAR competition. The offer included funding from the Camping World brand to help him get a ride to achieve the huge career milestone.
Todd Bodine, who may be known by young NASCAR fans for his key role at FOX Sports' NASCAR Race Hub, also has a prestigious racing career behind his name. In his 794 race starts in NASCAR's top-three series Bodine has scored a grand total of 37 victories (Truck and Busch Series) as well as a whopping 185 top-ten finishes. Additionally, Todd Bodine has earned two championships in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, respectively in 2006 and 2010.
In his "Retirement Tour", Bodine will make six starts with in the No. 62 Toyota Tundra for Halmar-Friesen Racing, running this schedule below:
- Las Vegas Motor Speedway - March 4th, 2022
- Darlington Raceway- May 6th, 2022
- Texas Motor Speedway - May 20th, 2022
- Sonoma Raceway- June 11th, 2022
- Nashville Superspeedway - June 24th, 2022
- Pocono Raceway - July 23rd, 2022
