Harrison Burton to run Freightliner paint scheme at COTA

    Wood Brothers Racing has unveiled Harrison Burton's paint scheme for this weekend's NASCAR Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas. Their No. 21 Ford Mustang will trade the usual red and white scheme for the electric blue Freightliner colors in the "EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix" on Sunday, March 27th.

The Freightliner paint scheme definitely scored a win in the graphics and design department but could have used a little bit of that now empty space in the old number placement located on the door panel. With amount of space that was left there, well could have moved the number decal to where it was located on the car for many, many years.

Burton is currently competing for the 2022 Rookie of the Year award but has a lot of work still cut out for him if he wants to beat Team Penske's Austin Cindric. Cindric already has a win for the season, and if Burton fails to reach victory lane, the award will go to Cindric. Burton hasn't necessarily had a great start to the season: 2 DNF's and a single top-20 finish in five starts but could turn around his season this weekend with a good finish at COTA.

The "EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix" at Circuit of the Americas will take place on Sunday, March 27th. Live television coverage for the race will begin at 3:30 PM EST on FOX.
